Job Overview:
We are looking for a meticulous Pre-Press Designer to join our production team and prepare high-quality, print-ready files tailored for various cutting and print applications. In this role, you’ll handle file optimization, color management, and layout adjustments to ensure seamless print production. While you won’t be operating the machines directly, a strong understanding of laser cutting, router cutting, and other finishing techniques is essential to accurately prepare files that meet specific machine requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and finalize digital files for high-quality printing, including setting bleeds, color adjustments, and font embedding.
• Optimize files for various cutting and finishing processes, ensuring alignment with laser cutting, router cutting, and other production specifications.
• Collaborate with the design and production teams to troubleshoot file-related issues and meet project specifications.
• Apply expertise in layout, color, and resolution to produce consistent, print-ready files across various media.

Technical Skills Required:

• CorelDRAW: Proficiency in creating and refining vector files for precise print and cut specifications.
• Adobe Photoshop: Advanced skills in color correction, retouching, and resolution adjustments.
• Adobe Illustrator: Expertise in preparing vector files, setting up layers, and managing line thickness for specific cutting requirements.

Preferred Knowledge:

• Familiarity with the capabilities and file requirements for laser cutting and router cutting machines to ensure accurate design preparation.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Graphic Design, Print Production, or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience in a pre-press or similar role with a focus on print and cutting file preparation.
• Strong attention to detail and time management skills to handle multiple projects with precision.
• Effective communicator with the ability to collaborate closely with design and production teams.
